WPC’s North Shore Photographic Challenge Entry

WPC members met at Yukon College on Sunday, January 21st to select the first round picks for the 2017 NSPC. Thirteen members submitted up to four images each, and those in attendance selected one from each member to advance. Those 13 images were submitted to CAPA judge Ann Alimi, who chose the final six for judging in the North Shore Photographic Challenge. Here are the images that constitute our entry.

2018 Annual General Meeting

Hey everyone! The Whitehorse Photography Club will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at 7PM in Yukon College (Rm A2204). New ideas are the lifeblood of any social club, but equally important are those people willing to put the ideas into action. Proficiency at photography is not a requirement, but creativity and passion are! We look forward to meeting you on April 18.

The Whitehorse Photography Club welcomed photographer Don Komarechka who led the workshop ‘Vision Beyond Seeing’!

Don provided an excellent workshop focusing (intentional use) on macro photography. The Friday and Saturday sessions were well attended, and Don provided many examples of his work in his discussion. Unfortunately, Sunday was limited to 20 participants (10 each in two sessions). While Don was doing his macro thing, local photographers Gary and Brianne Bremner provided a Lightroom post processing lesson. Kudos well deserved in both sessions.
