October 18 – Best of Summer

You’ve been busy (relaxing) all summer, roaming around Yukon, across Canada, perhaps the world. You’ve amassed an amazing array of pictures, and now it’s time to show them off!

November 15 – Motion

This 1970’s jingle comes immediately to mind.

What do you think of when linking the concepts of motion and still photography? Fast shutter speed freezing everything? Slow shutter with resulting blur? Deliberate camera/lens motion, or perhaps photographer calisthenics?

January 24 – Food

But not just food. Think about how to portray the sweetness of a cinnamon bun; the savouriness of hot stew; the sourness of key lime pie?

February 21 – North of 60, 20 below zero

What makes our corner of the world unique? This topic may be a good opportunity to put together a small collection of images that support each other, rather than try to make each image EPIC.

March 21 – Festivals & Parades

What festivals? Santa Parade, Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous, Frostbite Music Festival, Yukon Quest International Sled Dog Race, to name a few.

April 18 – Seasonal Changes

Spring is coming, winter be gone! Go forth and create images showing how these two seasons transition.
